Dark Matter Requirements

Post by scubakobe »

I have heard that Dark Matter requires Direct3D to run. Well I saw that Direct3D was bundled with DirectX9.0, so I downloaded it. Then I installed it. I was positive this would help me get dark matter to view the BSP (BSP Viewer). It always turns black and never shows the map. Well it didn't help. Could someone tell me what I need or how to get Direct3D to work with Dark Matter? Its the only thing stopping me from making a great mod.

This might help. Goto start-run and type 'dxdiag', go to the display tab and make sure Direct3D acceleration is enabled and click 'Test Direct3D', if your Direct3D is fine but Dark Matter still doesn't work, make sure you have the latest version of Dark Matter and/or re-install.

Ok I got it working. I think the problem was that it was showing a wrong area. I held Z and it showed up. Now, I want to move the teleporter and stuff. I can only see the main stuff like the buildings. I cant see stuff like weapons, teleporters, and everything else. How can Isee these?
