Halo 2 Freezing

Post by walnuts »

Sorry for the long post............

Hey guys i have a problem that is bugging the crap out of me. every time i try to play halo 2 off the hdd the intro is fine but as soon as i get to the screen with the ship in the back and it says press start or whatever i hit any button and my game freezes. i have tried everything i can think of. i have tried erasing it and putting it back on and again and again. the program says all files copied zero files not copied. so i know it is on there. also i have put halo on there and it works just fine. could it be that the disc is dirty even though it copied all the files. any help would be appreciated.

I think it could be a file that is misplaced because after i upgraded my hdd i copied it from that one originally. :!: :?:

if you can play it off the cd with no problems, then thats weird. You should go through and check that all the files are there, although it wouldnt happen twice. Have you got any leftover halo 2 files on there, i know i have mainmenu file stuck (donnoe why) on my hdd and i cant play halo 2 off my hdd if thats on my hdd as well.

I suggest either borrowing a mates disc, or renting it at your local video store.
