Record desktop, non-fraps

well i have fraps, and im looking to make a video tutorial on how to edit/create new halo 2 models. and i need a good desktop proggy..I JUST USED SCREEN VIDSHOT AND the quality is a piece of crap..i used to have a really good one..and i could of sworn i got it from the utilities section, but nothing there. so if any1 know sa good 1..cuz im sure this tut would be handy..a lot of people are confusing on how to use dark matter

Here is a video recorder I just found, its called Camtasia Studio.

Its a trial

F9 to record, F10 to stop

Full version does good quality. Didnt try the trial

1 minute video at 1024x768 was only 1.5mb or so

I give this program an A+

It records as its own filetype, use the Studio to save it as a shareable format (you'll be promted when you save it asking if you want to)
