Xenium S.P.Ice
I would like to know who has a Xenium S.P.Ice modchip and has not been banned from Xbox Live. I just ordered this modchip, and some kid at my school told me an update or something scans the memory of the Xbox detecting any changes, so now I am all paranoid of being banned from Live. And I haven't heard of the modchip having a turn-off switch. Does it have one?

having any modchip installed will definetely cause you to be banned. go to xbox-scene.com for technical questions about the modchip

You did not answer my question. I know having a modchip will cause me to be banned. I have no intention of playing on Live. Say I installed my modchip, my cable was disconnected from my modem and play whatever using a mod, and after that I used the regular game content then logged onto Live, would I get banned from that?
How do mods get detected?

That's because this is not the place to get that question answered. Go to http://www.xbox-scene.com. The rules clearly state that there is to be no xbox modding discussion. Only Halo discussion. You can think of it as a hardware/software distinction (though softmods will tend to dispute that).

Re: Just delete this fecking thread
Gundamzuki is right, don't talk about xbox modding here at halomods. We support Halo modding and sorts, not xbox modding.Chaoswarrior wrote:I would like to know who has a Xenium S.P.Ice modchip and has not been banned from Xbox Live. Having said that, I will shed some light real quick..
Differening chips has nothing to do with getting banned or not. Many chips are on xbl right now albeit turned off. All you need is a switch which the SPIce is compatable with.
Your friend who told you that xbl will check your memory has no clue as to what he is talking about. Xbl does not check memory. I'll leave it at that.
Look into a modchip switch. They are VERY handy and are easy to install.
And tdk, just fyi, but having a chip does not = instant ban. Just to let you know. =)
