I keep hearing stories and reading articles that say if people catch you hacking or modding Halo 2 or any other Live enabled game, you will get banned. Yet, now that I'm getting into the higher ranks of Halo 2, I am finding it very difficult to level up because I find modders and hackers almost everywhere I go, especially on those downloaded maps. How are people able to mod their xbox and still get away with it, or is it just a matter of time before they get caught, and there's no way to escape it?
Here's one modder I already reported. (Notice how nearly all his games seem to be controlled and set up for only downloaded maps.)

Re: Getting banned from Xbox Live?
There are a couple of things that are hard for Bungie to track...yes it is possible to cheat on Live...but why on Earth would you want to ruin the game for you and others?

This is a touchy subject so this should be a delicate post.
Modding on xbl, as far as we know it, has been stopped. Bungie insists that their banhammer is perfect and that it will eventually catch up to them. That is fine. But as of right now.. modding is still possible on xbl. My advice, don't play matchmaking. =P

You can tell if they run 6 times faster than a warthog, they jump over 100 ft in the air, or their sniper bullets turn 90 degree angles.Black Ghost Knife wrote:wait how can you tell if some1 is hacking or modded XBL because me and my friend are good Halo 2 players and we are getting our @$$es wooped by lower ranking 5 year old babys WTH is going on there
