Ripped.. whats it actually mean?

Ok, i dont normall go to forums to check out new maps. i just see the screen shots, download, and play. if there good, i keep em, if not, i delete them.
Iv'e heard people mentioning about 'This and that have been Ripped'. what is actually ment by ripped? Taken from somewhere else?

Yes, taking shit from another game is ripping.
It also takes barley any skill to do it.
