sry for the question but i was wondering if anyone was having the same problem as me..when trying to ftp the maps from xbox to pc the files take forever and the fail?? please help

wrong place to post this but do you have a router? if you don't buy one that could be the problem or if you have a windows 98 or 95 maybe not sure... hope this helps

i dont have router but a switch do i need a router instead

lol now they moved it and yes you need a router i didn't got mine to work until i got the router

Errr, since when is a router needed? I just have mine plugged into a NIC card and it works fine....

It could be your OS. Windows 95? Why even mention that..anyone who has that on their computer as the main OS is really living in the past. 98 and 98SE arent 100% supported by Microsoft anymore. ME has horrible networking capabilities since it is based off of Windows 95. Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP are really the best option for this..

Although, what FTP client are you using? I've had trouble with some uploading to a web server, but never my xbox. Try to make sure nothing is interfering or that there arent any weird symbols or characters in the map name.

I don't see why a switch wouldn't work. Does your PC lose connection with your xbox at all? Or is your switch bad? Alot of reasons why it could be like this.
