System Files Explorer?

Post by maca_§ »

Hey,
On your PC, is there a file 'thing' like Explorer for System files?
Consists of a SOFTWARE/HARDWARE and another fold-out-able option.
As you can see I dunno much about this but I've gotten into it before..
It was pretty much the same to Explorer but for System files.

If anyone knows of what I'm talking about or might know what I'm talking about, please PM me or post it here.

on Windows XP system/hidden files are hidden by default you have to goto Tools->Folder Options->View and click the checkbox that says "Show Hidden/System Files and Folders" and also uncheck the box that says "Hide Protected Operating System Files".

Ah yes, thanks Kommie that's what I needed.
Another question though, can I delete stuff out of the protected files? Say out of the system32 file?

Alot of the protected files will automatically be restored by Windows upon deletion from dllcache. If it was a file manually added to the System32 directory, you should have no trouble deleting it.

Sounds to me like maybe you meant the registry.

Yeah.
regedit.exe edits the registry.
