Command Prompt/halo ce root directory

Post by punkman »

how do i go to my halo ce root dicrectory in command prompt, because i would type in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition
but it would just say "C:\Program is not recognized as an internal or external command, program or batch file"

plus, when u go into command promt is it supposed to say C:\Documents and Settings\Owner> or the halo location to run tool? because clicked and dragged but i could not use tool or build bitmap tags like i needed...
plz help. :(
(and to see what im talking about, go to the tutorial section and open up tutorial #7 on the top section)

why are you trying to open it with custom edition?
if there are more than 8 characters in a name of a folder or file you have to replace the 7th and 8th character with ~1 like progra~1 and micros~1

Well, don't worry about that.

Your trying to use tool? Right?

Download Tool++ by Kornman over at HaloMaps.org

It's probably the best version of it, and it's a program instead of a DOS applicant.
