PLEEEASE I NEED 3ds MAX HELP!!!!

Heyy. Yeah i figured out how to import obj files into 3ds max 6. i got a ghost and master chief in there. Now i have 2 questions:

1. How do I get the texture on to the model. Like say i had a ghost and the dds file of it, how do i get the dds onto the object?

2. Where can you find Halo 2 objects? Do you have to export them from Halo 2 or what?

PLEASE HELP!!
