Odd...I have this exact same card but Halo refuses to run on it. As soon as the Halo logo shows up and the game prepares to enter full-screen mode, it just blacks out and completely crashes my computer. Now I have been doing some investigating and since most Nvidia drivers have their own Display Properties menu, I found out that it has a pre-set configuration for Halo itself, meaning that the card's properties are instantly configured to be able to play perfectly with Halo. Still...with no prevail Halo just "froze" my computer. I bought this card for a measly $89.99 as well thanks to some uuuh connections I have. But if I can't get this thing to work I will be frustrated that I blew off $90! Any help you guys couldoffer would be great. Thanks in advance.

P.S: If you guys think it doesn't work because I got it in a bad condition that is not true. I got this card completely in perfect condition in an unopened box. If you guys want specs I can post them later.

I am pretty sure there might be something else triggering the "crash"

Like on my old computer, the TV card used to crash my computer.. so check your other hardware.

Also nVidia (bleh)

ATI is better.

Are you complaining? I only have 32 megs! It's integrated! I'm using a laptop! And yet, HPC looks excellent...

That card can't ever use 256MB to its advantage. He might as well get a 128MB geforce 5200. The GPU is not powerful enough to make use of it.

so? 256mb or 128 is not what makes the card good.

in fact the best video cards are the 128 mb.

Correct

Wrong. It depends on what the video cards are for, but we will go with gaming for now. The best video cards for gaming include 256MB of ram.
the 6600GT and up.

The video card ram is different from the computer's ram.

ALL the FX series cards from nVidia suck. It's like buying an 80's car. It's the years of trying something new but they all turned out crap. They bottle-neck too much. I sold mine and got the older ti4600se. So much better!
