Halo CE problems

Post by WhiteHat »

When ever i try new maps for Halo CE i get errors (not all the time some of them work) that pop up. sometimes it will pop up when i start halo and it will say: "one of the halo map files is either missing or corrupt please reinstall halo" and the only option i have there is to exit halo. Other times it'll work fine but when i try to start a LAN(just to test it) an error pops up saying "gathering exception Data" and i cant do anything there, it just does nothing for a wile then another window comes up saying: "halo has caused a problem and needs to shut down. then you have to close it. HELP PLEASE!!!

usually, best advise for odd behavior with any game, is to uninstall the game, then reinstall, make sure you have backups of your CE maps and stuff,
also, the error you have sounds like someone or something messed with the contents of the map file, could you be a little specific about what map your getting errors on etc?

Hi all, sorry for my easy english.
I have a similar problem. When we try to play with standard number of maps - Halo CE work correctly. When I try to add any downloaded new map it say: "We have detected that one of the Halo PC files is missing or corrupted, blablabla, filename of new map, try to reinstall". It is for all computers when I try it.
Can somebody help me?
I just decompress and copy new map in "maps" directory.
