a couple quick questions concerning halo...

okay first, does ur ping rely on ur internet connection or urs and the ppls in the room....the other day i was in a room and my ping waz like 700...and the others were pretty high also...sometimes its 68-150 another is, does anyone have xfire? if so please reply with ur screen name mine is halosniper13....i need to know if when i host my server shows up on the list...cuz no one ever joins............
