Model: Halo 1 MC Rig (INCOMPLETE)

Well, For the past few days, I've been having a MAJOR problem with the freakin MC eveloping thing. I asked around but got no answer.
So here is the Halo 1 MC I couldn't finish because it acted weird. I know its kinda newbish and anyone could do it but atleast I tried.
(try opening this in gmax and try putting the envelope thing on it and you will see what got me frustrated)
If you manage to get the enveloping done or you know what went wrong please tell me.

a picture perhaps (i'm about to DL it because i was thinking about this today actually lol)
could you export it to .3ds because i have 3ds max not gmax lol

I have to have a picture? ANyway.. I dont have 3ds Max and I dont know how to export it into .3ds (It only allows some weird Plasma format).
Plus, try getting GMAX and eveloping it THERE. You'll get a real first-hand feel of my frustration.
But, if you give me the importing/exporting tool, I'll change it.

should ocme with it maybe....i mean they are both by discreet....
i have tried gmax before and i hate it, so i use 3ds max

Yes exacly. Its terrible, but I dont have an exporter for 3ds files and dont know where to find one. I think there is a gmax importer somewhere for 3ds MAX.

open gmax, go to export and with the drop down tab or somethign press print screen so i can tell you which one to export it as

Ok, thx. And then If you DO open it in 3ds Max.. can you try to do the enveloping? I did the bones in about 10 min (thats why theres so few) but for some reason the enveloping wont work for me.
If you do the enveloping, could you post the model in a 3ds file or atleast a GMAX-compatible format?

Export to .MD3, open in Milshape, convert to .3ds, import into 3ds max

Okay, i don't wanna be a party pooper, but the Rigged Halo 1 MC model has been available in .3ds, .max, and .gmax for months.
I have most of the models fully rigged in these formats.
Check out the list:
MC, 343 Guilty Spark, Keyes, Johnson, Cotana, Hunter, Elite, Grunts, Jackals, Flood Carriers, Infectors, Flood Elites, Flood Human Mutations, Sentinels, Marine - with multiple skins, all the vehicles, including Longsword, Lifepod, Pelican with posable boosters, and Dropship with Moveable doors and turret, Most of the Gun models - fully scaled to fit the models, Energy sword - ACTUALLY EMITS LIGHT!, and the engineers.
But still, aint a bad Rig.

i know you cant rig a gulity spark, but i still have all those models, and most are rigged.
.3ds format
.max format
.max format
(they vary from model to model)
