THIS IS FOR PC, not ce
I have been spending the longest time trying to find out why whenever i imported a new object into a new duplicated weapon's tag, it imported that same model for the original weapon that i used to duplicate it with (ex. If i imported a model into the smg tag, it imported the same model for the pistol tag). I also renamed every single recursive file and all the dependencies to their own new ones (every file that was named pistol --> smg). I even renamed the verticies and indicies files and added them as new vertices and indicies of the map. During rebuilding, I added the new bsp, and the new vertices and indices.
It all works but i can never get the models to stand alone. There aren't any of the same offsets for the weapons in the tags and i don't get it. Does anyone know a way to do this... I think i am the first but i really need to get it to work.

i think i no ur problem...if ur duplicating the weapons tag then the program may still rekcognise it as the pistol rather than if u change it to smg...so try usin either a different tag to duplicate or mabey u could make ur own...witch...frankly i dont no how to do sooooo...anydangway i cant help u there.
...one time i got bored...so i blew something up...thats all i remember...except...GOD IT WAS FUN!!!!!!

I remember trying to do something like this. The thing is is that the tags reference the same model. So, when you change the model, both tags use that one. One thing I haven't tried is importing the same model from a different map and remodeling it that way. Try that, and tell us if it works. Best of luck.
I see...
