So, you want to make machinimas in full HD, eh?
Or you just want to play in HD, possibly on your widescreen TV?
Well, it's not that hard, in fact, this guide only involves a few steps.

Step 1: Get a video recording program that can handle full screen resolution and set it up as such.
Step 2: Create a shortcut to the version of Halo you wish to play.
Step 3: In that shortcut, add

Code: Select all

-vidmode 1280,720,60
to the end (after the quotation mark), if you wish to use 1080i and your monitor allows for it, use

Code: Select all

-vidmode 1920,1080,60
Step 4: Switch your screen resolution to 1280x720 (or, if allowed, 1920x1080) [If you are using a secondary monitor that is already set for the right resolution, make this monitor the primary monitor]
Step 5: Double click your shortcut.
If you are using a secondary monitor, skip to step 7.
Step 6: Once Halo is loaded, find your monitor's OSD (on screen display), and change the width and height until things appear square. My hp pavilion mx70 uses +90 H and +0 V
Step 7: Record your video. (or play)

Congratulations, you now have an HD widescreen video!
If you would like my Halo Widescreen shortcut icon, send me a PM!
