Tools you will need:
HMT- http://www.download.com/Halo-Combat-Evo ... 86367.html
Milkshape- http://www.download.com/MilkShape-3D/30 ... 50779.html

Well first you need to have HMT. You open up HMT and go to the models pc section. Once there you click on one of the items. If it has fp at the end it is for first person. If it does not, your model can only be seen on the ground! Then you click on which one you want. You then go to the model (0) for it to work. Hit export model and save it some where in a folder called models or something... you can call it what ever you want. Then open milkshape. Go to file and hit import, Wavefront OBJ and go to the folder you saved it in and retreive it. Then you hit the select button and select some vertices. Then you hit move and move them around. You can NOT add or delete anything! Or else it will mess up the file. Once done go back to file and hit export, Wavefront OBJ, and save it as something else in that same folder. Go back to HMT and go back to the same model as last time. Click on the (0) one and hit import model. Then bring in your modeled one and! TADA! You just modeled a gun. This can be done with vehicals to!

Sorry for the small pictures!
