Its there (BR height map) and it was put in as a mistake but it seemes to work so ill go with that for now. As far as all the partial cube maps...i didnt like the way a single one looked so I took the same concept as Dirty metal with MC diffuse and applied the idea here. I cant get over teh Br height map though lol :lol:

its not that you look like a jackass, but try using the entire cubemap? it might look better.

I edited my first post before I saw this.

To be honest man I dont know much about how to do any of this im just messing around and read tuts so im not sure how to use a whole cube map :( but I think my mistake material looks better than some other proper ones ive seen but thats just my opinion.

use reflect/refract instead of bitmap when you want to use a cubemap.

Hi, I'm having a problem, the Secondary is selected but I still get grayish spots. Image

thats because you didnt put the diffuse texture in the first slot of the composite. its the scratches/nicks on the armor. it goes with the rubber.

Edit: Thank you so Much, I am trying get the visot right but when I apply the texture it changes the color of the Mc too, I cant get it just to the Visor And since in the tut it said to attach all parts IT wont let me select the visor by itself.

Select the mesh
Click the Element button
Click the visor to select it
Set the material ID to 2
Use a Multi/Sub Object material type and have the visor and armor as different materials

yeah, you were supposed to apply materials before you attached them. but since you didnt, just follow Tural's instructions.

Ok, i got it to work, but when i insert my MC_alpha into that one part so the reflection does not go on the rubber, it still went on it

I wanted to add the Battle Riffle to the scene of mine but I can't seem to extract ANY bump maps, I get a error when opening them in Photoshop. Any help?

use entity ue 1.6, and save as something other than .dds
why do you need to open them in photoshop?
