[Misc/Battle Scene] The Last Act of Mombasa WIP

by Jean-Luc
For the past couple days, I've been working on conceptualizing a large scale scene in New Mombasa showing a battle of much larger proportions than what I'm used to in rendering.
This is what I currently have modelled, and I should have an image up later tonight of a few buildings on the sides of the street.
I don't wish to divulge any more details about this for now, but I can tell you this. It's going to be big, and there's going to be a lot to look at.

More done, but in all honesty, I'm not sure I'm really fond of the WIP building on the left. We'll see.

And more...
Modelling is 80% complete, then onto texturing, lighting, then final composition. My goal is to have the entire image complete by Wednesday, October 22nd.
Current polycount is approximately 260,000

I love it, but the curved legs of the lowest lilly pad platforms could be a little more natural.

A good point Yodel, I'll be sure to change that.

Been messing around with the water for a while, came up with something I'm alright with, and that I can post-process in Photoshop.
Anyways, due to scheduling conflicts (aka, college), I am uncertain as to if the piece will be done by Wednesday, but I can promise that it will be done this week.
And, believe it or not, I have another sizeable project right after this one that fans of my past work should enjoy.

Pretty swanky as always Jean, I like the twisted legs on the platforms.

Yes, they look nice for current styles, but not with Bungie's interpretation of the future.
But it is looking very "swanky".
