Are you using Render Posting Effects or something similar to that?

Anyway Google "Clay Render Tutorial" and try that. :wink:

I still think that Vray would make thouse relections look awsome

Vray doesn't magically take bland materials and make them amazing.

By this i mean that i think that If he used vrays reflection and light engine it would make it look cool. There is a storage of vray metal materials also with brushed steel and rusted metal and stuff.

as in premade materials? I wouldn't feel very proud using that.. especially in a 3ds max class :P

I'm not entirely sure how good vray would be to a beginner at 3ds max... Unless i'm mistaken, it's sort of complex. Though in all honesty I have nothing to back that up other than what I thought.
