Upcoming App

Post by TunesRus90 »

Ok here is a new Halo Map Editor which some of you may have heard things about. However, at this time the creator wishes to remain anonymous, so I am posting pics for him.

It is made in Java, so it will run on multiple OS's, and it supports Halo 1 Xbox, PC, and Mac as well as Halo 2. Some of you may know the creator or have heard of this app, but he wishes to remain anoymous, so please respect his wishes and don't post his name here.

The creator is looking for feedback and suggestions, so please comment.

Here are some pics, and I will update with more later.

And what about resigning? :X

I think we just might have the slowest resigner ever developed here...

Somehow I don't think you're extracting the data associated with each meta, mapping out reflexive, stringid, dependencies etc. That's the real issue when recursively extracting. Without those your app will be pretty much useless for re-injecting/building or whatever.

yelo may be good but i don't think running the trainer everytime during play can replace a good old fashioned resigner.

I totally do not understand why the name needs to be kept secret... I guess in due time...Still sounds stupid to me...

As for the app..It sounds intruiging...Howevwer nothing replaces ADI and ch2r :P

But I guess I will wait and see.

where the hell did you get resiging from yes it does resign maps but that is not it's main objective it is a whole map editor which should be able to be run on many OS's
you are correct it dose not ouput every meta need to a entity extract format the 2 seconds is the time it tags to find all pointers IDs, Reflexives and scriptIDS recurisvely
there will be a bsp viewer by the end of it which will run using opengl i hope i am not making the bspviewer someone else is
one of the main aims of this project is for it to be extremely userfriendly
if you have made up your mind it is going to be slow or shit i don't care just don't leave comments
i am taking feature requests and tunesrus is my main in the field so pass any questions or feature requests pass onto him and i will get them
i live in a different time zone man in the future you could say lol
there will be more screen shots soon on mac, windows and maybe linux

man you can rot in hell for even thinking that my app is totally code alone by me the most help i have had is from my dad this program is programmed all in java no natives used except for the java runtime natives and this is so far the only app i have seen in java!!
the most you could say i have copyed is looking by looking at dark matters bsp code and fuck you for thinking this looks like your app this app has a totaly different look and feel to it different from all others for that very reason cause i hate people who copy so i wanted something that was my own i will post some more screen shots now just to prove you wrong

halo 2 mutator.. i remember beta-ing this.

good app but needs to have some nifty features that entity doesn't have or else no-one will use this, except for other OS users.
i suggest going to www.haloplugins.com and looking at the suggestion thread, since the developers of entity don't even take time to look at the friggin thread
my best wishes
