(PC) Tactical Gulch

Currently, me and a few other modders from {TLS} are making a map pack for all of Halo PC MP. So far we have.. maybe 5 maps done.
I have been working on Bloodgulch this week, and so far its near completion i think. (note: this map is mainly modded for GAMEPLAY, not just scenery. i couldnt resist scenery though.. :D)

Yes, the oddball is now an index!!
sadly, i cant get the FP to work :\

As you can see, i have PMI'ed 11 different things into this map (you probably cant see them all right now XD)
including a fully usable energy sword!
(cant get FP to show up on this either :( )

other than that stuff..
The title says it all: Tactical Gulch.
Added scenery to help take cover.
Many things are changed for realism, including:
Grenades that literally have a 3 second explode time starting right when you throw
All weapons have more damage!
Assault rifle is more accurate and now has a scope to help aim.
Pistol is turned into more of a "sidearm" in this mod.
Shotgun does around half damage, but shoots twice as many pellets.
Plasma Rifle shoots in 3 shot bursts.
Slowing walking speed.
Lowered jump height.

As well as many other changes!

As soon as i figure out how to work HxD i shall be changing the names of all human weapons to their more accurate names! (AR will be "MA5B AR", pistol "M6D", etc)

EDIT: also, this isnt done yet. i will be adding another gun rack under both bulletin boards.. etc.

another edit!: too many.. things...
this mod is desert based as you can see, using {tls}ToAMod/Angrygrunt/Billy's desert skin.

sadly, none of the maps will be released until the entire mod pack is finished >_>

looks alright, but i just had to ask why you would cut the damage caused by the shotgun in half and then double the amount of pellets it shoots :p

shotguns dont shoot 15 lil BBs.. they shoot like 40! but i just put it at 30.

You should PMI the pedistal that the Index was in. Add the huge thing that it stood on top of, and put a warp that goes up to it, and then make the index spawn there, and a warp goes there....and stuff...

nah i know that, i like that idea but wouldn't cutting the damage of each pellet in half and doubling the amount of pellets just null eachother out?

The index is the key lookin thingy. Its used to activate Halo.

The Index is the reason Master Chief is forced to go through the library, for it is concealed deep within the center of it. It is used to activate Halo and destroy all living life forms so that the flood will starve to death, since this is the only way for them to truly be gone forever.

Since you're going for realism, why not up the Temporary Camera Impulse on all the weapons for some nice recoil?

Climbing recoil and some real "kick" on all the weapons would be cool, and pretty easy too. Keep it up.

-I thought of the same thing with the index for Nuclear Winter, but the fp bugged me. You should take up alchemist's offer to get that fp-rigged.

i was thinking of doing that, but i dont know how much to add for a rocket, like to make it so it goes like a half inch upward on the screen or something.

Wow, blood gulch looks really cool without the grass :shock:

Looks good awesome, wish you could get those FP models working.
