hax my first mod

hello
i'm quite new to modding. and recently i've done some interesting findings under the unknown values of the SCNR tag. its nothin big, but its actually quite handy when doing a BSP conversion.

this bsp might look formiliar, but i'm redoing it since pyroman didnt do well ... :P
so ya expect a new map with some nice gameplay in a bit. /// hehe i'm goaling for mimesis.
so far i have sit back, relax and watched the party goin, but now im going active, and im gonna make a well nice mod out of this.

I think pyroman could make a mod better than you. But , thats just my opinion. :P

Nice, Guessing you found the obstacle pallate and placement?
Thats what I found just take those from the sp map and add them to the mp map, make sure you have all the needed obstacles and then just do it again with the scenery pallate and other stuff that lies around.

well actually i've tried that... all scen, bloc, and mach showed up in the BSP viewer after copying over the palette and the placement reflexives from single player, but didnt spawn when i played the map.

but the SCEN, BLOC and MACH placement chunks contained info from which point in the singleplayer map they would load... because if all the chunks would load instantly, the map would most likely overload (it'd load over 1000 placement chunks in one time)
so ya i've found these values, which in my case needed to be found, to let the scen and stuff spawn..

Vicarious, you have your opinion, but if i'm done with this i'd like you to compare pyroman his conversion, and what i've made from this map. then we speak again. for now your opinion seems somewhat unargumented since ive never released anything before where gameplay comes around the corner to peak how well balanced it is.

It has a weird lightmap, almost looks like there isn't one in some spots. = /

Can't wait for a release though, it looks awesome.

hehe i'm very interested in how you bring this off.. we could sorta make it competition wise?
here's what i did so far, i restored all the scenery, obstacles, machines. and ive added 4 doors to multiple places, and 2 midship gravlifts to bring you upwards. but you'll see. :D

Yea well this is being achieved so easily now because of Entity.

I did mine by straight hex yo.

Goddamn don't be freakin too hard on him for trying to make a mod thats fun... Some of us may have liked it but you made it a general statement suggesting that everyone thought it failed.
If you "fail" don't expect us to be nice about it.

And who the fuck are you to say I failed at making good gameplay?

I had to move every coordinate by hand. It sucked. But hey, I thought it would be fun to some people. :x

Exactly, stop being harsh.
Pyroman did better than you could do. Id like to see you do this all in hex, and make the gametypes by co-ordinates. Your just one that brags cause you cant use Entity and do a better job that someone using hex..
ANYONE can make good Gameplay with Entity. The biggest of n00bs can.
Stop trying to put other people down and make yourself look better.


Those pictures are bad quality, And from the pictures, It does look like it has no lightmap in some spots. Hope you can spice it up... But don't be an ass.

Back on track: I actually hope you get it on Mimesis though, cause this BSP would be fun. But T1xAnton's so far looks better :D

whoa dude now that's ******. u should watch ur manners. Pyroman is a great modder and every bsp conversion now is achieved more easier because of entity. Hell, if it wasn't for apps i wouldn't be able to mod.

whatsup with all the comotion coz ive said his mod failed. so what. i'm entitled to speak whatever i feel about a mod. thus i've remade this.

and it pawns. so play, compare and huss. i'm not in anyway trying to compare to pyroman his skills simply coz i'm only a noob. haha but i'm a fast learner.
btw noobs can't make gameplay, they usually mess it up.
t1x anton his mod i want to see. we'll see what headshottie will say.

btw can't you nutters read what the luitenant just said? i'm reporting you for continuing this argument. ive done nothin wrong. all i said pyroman failed so whaaaaat.. oh ya detox you got a great imagination and you speculate awfully good. but you shouldnt. doesnt make you look good at all.
and detox how can pics taken by the screencaptrainer be BAD quality... O_o' they are only a bit brightened up... nice way to diss the best screencap trainer.
