I'm currently working on a new mod, Extermination, and I was wondering what new original weapon should I come up with. Then I thought, "why not fuse the plasma rifle with one of our modern day rifles?" I haven't gotten to the model yet since I'm having trouble getting 3ds max and milkshape, but here are the concepts. sorry I'm not handy with photoshop.

The weapon is called the P.A.R-40 which stands for Plasma Assault Rifle. It has 30 rounds per clip and fires small magnetic rods that pick up plasma energy when leaving the barrel. In short it's sorta like a rail gun only plasma form.

ehhh. the idea sounds nice and all. but like those drawings you made, they're terrible. but it gives good idea!

yeah I'm just trying to develop the idea into a good weapon. I would have the model finished by now and I would have had it rendered but money shortage. LOL! I would have also drawed out the concepts better but I ran out of materials to draw and I had to do a sketch with some old pencil I found lying on the floor. LOL!

yea nice idea...but i think your sketching skills could use some work lol (learn how to draw a straight line without a ruler) also i think it should have a more covenant look cause it looks more like a human weapon with some stolen technology rather than an alliance

Anyway, the idea is intriguing, but what you've got looks mostly like a human developed weapon, not something codeveloped with the Elites. Make it look more alien or something.
Also, now that we can do custom uv injections are we also able to have moving parts? Like, your weapon looks to be pump action. Could it be injected over a shotgun and have a functional slide?

well first of all the elites never were able to aim correctly with their plasma rifles so they decided to leave the designs to the humans and the technology of the gun to their own. here are some better scans. I actually took time on these. I made them big to show more of the weapon close up.

and I would be able to make a straight line if I haden't messed up my hand.

and how exactly do you plan to inject that piece of paper into halo 2?

that fails as a covenant weapon. the idea of the elites not being able to aim and the combination of human and covie weapons doesn't sell the design, either.

well if you people would actually learn how to read I explain that this is just a concept an the full model may vary.

The Brute Shot looks almost human. This gun looks like it belongs in Gears of War and looks NOTHING like an MP5.

well since the elites end up becoming allies with the humans at the end of halo 2 i thought it'd be a interesting to fuse human and covenant weapons together.

well the brute shot was also not covenant...it was from the brutes who later joined the covenant...covenant weapons are very round, do not contain a standard magazine. do not have scopes, do not have screws, do not have sights, do not have cocking mechanism, do not eject a spent shell.

also there is no remanents of the plasma rifle left in that.

and plasma has nothing to do with the needlers. plasma is like eletric gas? something of that. extremely hot. and not solid. nothing can "pick up" plasma as it travels : /

basicly you created a plain human weapon. interesting design though

aha see I actually pay attention in science class. lightning is made out of plasma and it can be picked up by magnetic objects. as for standard magazines both the covenant carbine and the fuel rod cannon use magazines. and I really messed up on the title didn't I. I'l fix that. It's no covie wep anymore but rather "aquired" technology.

how about you come in here with a model or something next time rather than a drawing of what you're going to make.

also those arn't regular magazines. those are wierd, awkwardly located magazines. in terms of you attempting to create a halo style covie/human weapon. you failed. so yea you're better off just turning it into a human weapon. someone who's good at modeling may be able to make some good of that.
