HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ive been working on this for a few days now, to tell you the truth I can say ive had this idea and WIP for months, just wasnt (fully) possible till now. For those of you that dont know, the Mongoose is the ATV that was suppose to be put into Halo 2, but was cut out for balencing. The only problem im having right now is the tires, whenever I move them, they look good ingame, but when I turn, the stick out like 20 feet. Maybe someone with good knowledge on them (Snaku?) can help me out. These pictures are outdated, right now I cant use my xbox, but here it is:










*NOTE*
THESE ARE OLD PICTURES! DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE PLACEMENT OF THE HULL OT TIRES!

Things to fix:

-Tires (Odviously)

-Bitmap (You can probably see the model looks... weird, maybe lighting, ill fix it)

-Properties (Things like accelerating speed, max speed, etc)

-Seat Placement (Should there be a backseat?)

Ha! I was talking to Tycko about making the mongoose once the new entity comes out. Since I don't have it yet I wasen't able to do it. I suppose I can do my own with my mongoose model and bitmap.

That is the bungie mongoose model and diffuse map from the e3 beta; it is illegal to distribute, or to even posses, as it was stolen content.

Oh alright, i had always wondered where people got that model.

so this model was ripped from the e3 beta? wasnt that the leaked version with all special stuff in it? i'd like playing that
where would we go for getting that beta version?

I'm suprised that disk hasnt hit torrents yet....

I know a guy who bought that disk off of ebay for $300 like 2 years ago.... he's crazy

yeah they say that the mongoose tags are all there it will take one tiny touch of hex to make the tags avalable for halo2

Looks great even though it is bad... if someone rmodeled the mongoose to be almost perfect and just like made the UVs the same, could that be legal? Just curious....

If they modeled their own version of the mongoose, and used their own skinning and such then it should be legal. As long as nothing is used from Bungie...
