I've been working on this rapier for a few days. Decided to post it and get some comments and criticism.

As I said in IRC;
The hole in the center, on the outer arch of the handle guard.
It looks too uniform in comparison to the organicesque presentation of the rest of the handle guard. Not a pleasent contrast, in my opinion. Not a needed one at least.

Looks neat, but I agree with Veegie about the hole.

Sorry about that... I edited your post though. It's the first part of the word that was censored of course, with an asterisk at the end.
Jewel isn't a bad idea though, you could test it if it's easy enough (model should be pretty easy)
