I like it, although it's a tad bit blocky.

I just noticed some flaws in my own work, towards the end of the barrel, where the silencer meets the gun, and the square part.

Yeah, and there isn't enough detail on the side.

Well, i didnt put detainl on the side because its for halo 2, and you cant import skins, im waiting for someone to come out with a program that allows custom skin importing, and all the details are in the skin.

Yeah I was wondering about that... is that your reference model? It seems different than the one you modeled.

never ever do that.... it makes it look like your model is a cardboard box with the details drawn on. quite honestly, if you do that, it'll look like total crap.

model the details. wha's the problem you see with doing that??

btw, chamfer your edges. the fact that they are straight further reinforces it looking like a cardboard box.

Yea, I made this with sketchup, i need to start using max for the reasons you said. And some of it is in the skin, the part near the front isnt, i shouldve done that oh well.

yeah, use gmax or 3dsmax. also, learn how to read form. round shapes vs. flat shapes.

Depending on how much time you want to put in somthing you can achieve great detail in sketch

You can buy like, 1 gig ram sticks for.. 75 euro's? IIRC.

On a sidenote, that gun looks a tad bit blocky. Chamfer the edges maybe. :)

But, overall nice model and skin.

I'm sorry, but there is very little detail in that.
