Cool concept, but why is there a shield? It's not like MC's head is going to be behind it.

yeah that shield would be a nuisance.

Think about it, If mc had it on his Shoulder and shot and it recoiled and hit him in the face and he hit the ground, that would not be useful.

But nice model.

8/10

The Big Man believes that the weapon would operate much more efficiently if it had a hole in the barrel.

There would be no recoil, it's a gauss weapon.
Using electromagnets, the same way a railgun works, but with coils.

i just thought id make a gun thsat looks like it was fof a guass hog and the shield bit would be ouside of the mcs veiwing range in fp and the big man its a little hard to put a whole in the centre but il problty skin its usinging the usualy methods and release it somehwere.

The fact remains that the shield is still only a nuisance and a waste of weight.

But still.. MC is far more than capable holding that. And I think a shield would be a nice addition, think of it as a panzershrek (however you spell it) shield.

Very Nice.... 8)

Maybe You Could Switch The Shield For "Legs" Like the Sniper Has

It serves no help. In a Panzerschreck the cover is in front of the person holding it, and serves as a method of aiming. It's also in the front of the gun, this is in the back. The only thing it'd do is get in the way. It's not like the guy is carrying it at the hip.

Railguns do have recoil, but it's minimal, since there's no really strong force pushing the projectile, it's just gently accelerating it. Every action as an equal and opposite reaction. Remember this. If the gun is projecting force in the direction of the projectile, there is force going the other way, as well, making the gun push itself backwards. It's the reason that when you fire a .44 magnum, it smacks you in the face. (guilty!) there's force going one way, and force going the other way as recoil. So, unless it's a rocket in a tube, where the projectile is self propelled and all gases are exiting the back of the weapon, there will be recoil.

Oh, is this just a modification of the rocket launcher? Or is it a new model?
