Ok this program has been in the works for a while but i need help.
there are many things i do not know how to do and i really need people to help me out.
Im making a tool which sorta combines spark edit and hht together to make a hybrid but i dont know to make a screen like in spark edit.
could i ask if anyone knows how to render a map file like in spark edit or even a map file.
if you can post here what you know i will be greatly appriciative and il probly be adding you to credits.
program so far:

also i keep getting a few errors saying a feature isnt declared if anyone could help out there that'd be great.
but well i thought id post the topic here as well or id be jumped on for prejudice for posting the topic on halopc.net and not here.

There is nothing being shown that is worth showing off. You should've waited until you had more of an 'application'.

Congrats, you showed us you can make forms! Quite interesting!
Espesially when you have no function code, and when you have no idea how to even open a map. ;P

So... you basicly designed the UI, and want someone else to make the rendering code(which is one of the most complicated things that had to do with game programming), and the map loading code, which is 90% of the code you would need.

Ok, I'll give you advice. Learn Managed DirectX... which will take a few months to know somewhat well, probably more for you... how long have you been programming VB?

I'd say the average programmer of today learned VB shortly after they reached double digits.
