HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I'm getting closer and closer...This isnt rebuilt with any Halo CE ripped content or whatever. This is purely the b40 map itself. I just don't know why the damn thing won't glow... Maybe once I get it fully working (hopefully) it will. In the picture the handle of the blade is working, but the blade doesn't want to stay aligned with it.

Inject the energy sword model over a different model. (Like the pistol)

I kept messing around with the animation triggers and actor variants. No, I did not inject this model over the pistol or any other model. This is the same energy sword you see those bastard elites chasing you with.

i made an energy sword fp that way...keep up the good work but its unneeded if you just swap models and skins.

It doesnt work that way Krush.

Glow will never work in FP, The engine doesnt support it.

Even in CE, Killa tried for ages to make the FP sword glow with no luck. The easiest thing is place like, 50 lens flares, the only way to do it.

Keep on working on it, and you'll get it. GJ, thus far.

i'm not sure we're on the same page...it does but you won't get any glow. i have a pic of it in the NMP thread.

I wish this was real, alas, I am out of ideas, and have nothing else I can possibly think of for it to work. I just fecked with the model to make it look like that, looks like utter shyt in third person.

its still pretty good that you dont have to make another fp weapon into a sword. and can you give a tutorial for it? because whenever i try its just a blank screen with no model.

heh. I've seen this done before and he was successful. Keep trying or just use islandhop's fp model which is indeed the 3p model of b40 and use c3ll's sword animations or even jahrain's new h2 sword animations.

Actually....I've done this before with Shadowkas...I kept fucking the mod up and having to start over and I eventually gave up..
I never could get the glow...

how do you get it in fp like that? whenever i try it its just a blank screen

Maybe duplicate another 3rd person model so the fp and tp wouldn't be messed up....

If you want, I can ask shadowkas if he wants to do it again.
