They're stored in the matg tag of every map. Halo's RGB colors go from 0 to 1, a standard RGB goes from 0 to 255.

Standard RGB / 255 = Halo RGB
Halo RGB * 255 = Standard RGB

not high def high resolution, there is a difference, high resoulution - better quality

high definition - better quality for TV.

ive just made a custom set of normal/bumpmaps combining the noirmals shard/hk 47 gave me and the bumps from another source.

give it detail maps and you dont really need a higher resolution diffuse. although the highres diffuse + detail maps are sexy.
