actually they dont skip the first numerical and letter, they continue it, the m16 let's say is the orginal model... now the m16a2 may have a different name but its not a whole new model of weaponry, it's a modification.you said "earlier models of the M16"
I was just saying that they don't improve upon a model and keep the name. They name them differently, in numerical order. And the reason some are missing is because some designs were rejected, so they skipped that numerical designation.
now lets stop talking about gun tech and get someone to UV the damn things

no, it has a lesser number because it's a compact m16 not a full blown one, hence the reduced barrel and retractable stock, so instead of calling it m16c or something because there already were several m16 modifications they came up with a whole new name. ex there where already the (m16a2 and the m16a1 and m16a3)So you're saying they invented the m4 before the m16?
oh and caboose is right it was the m16a1 that was in vietnam, with the 20 round clip, and it had the holes... aka the AR-15

this mod turns me on, then the models find the off switch..try detailing a bit more and skinning them to look like in-game models. and also please please please skin the characters so they look more army like...add helmets and maybe change the elites to marines...they kinda throw it off.

you dont understand one bit what we will do on this mod... its very hard to skin new models for a game so qwe have people thatm will uv map the weapons, than we will be making both the soldiers a marine, than we will skin the marine, to mae both of them look like they are soldiers, different type of soldiers, we will make the marine mc and elite, because it already has most of the detail of the soldier, and so we dont have to skin it as detailed as skinning mc, and elite. and we are stil on 15% because we cannot contact the uv mapper... or should i say uvi

no im just not good at percentage, and that is 4 models and uv mapping
theres a lot more going to be in this mod, and in the second version will have a big suprise, and that will take about a week just to get that one thing finished

ill explain more on what will be in the mod
1st version, or so we call it team evil inc.'s version of d-day, thats me-effects (so thats why ive been learning effects lmao) enlighten3d-0ne-models-some skinning h2h-renaming the weapons (not in evil inc.) but stalkinggrunt911-scenery pyroblizzard-uvi mapping and munsie-AI
detox-skinning(accept for the sign)
2nd version models, special suprise, and editing new things in the map, and uvi-Dootuz, same for me, same for h2h, same for munsie, same for stalkinggrunt911, same for detox (i dont know if he likes me anymore, but he did say yes

scenery-explosions hitting the ground, making a mass amount of dirt to pop up.
AI- making the beach wall filled with gernman soldiers, beach filled with american soldiers, respawning once one dies another takes there place.
skin-american soldier, with a small wrist band american flag on the upper arm, same for the german soldier skinned as a german with the german flag on the upper arm, new skin for the water, and whole map, skinned sky to make coulds, like it was a rainy day on d-day
models- models of thompson replace smg-automatic
cocktail-replace frag grenade
smoke grenade replaces- plasma nade
M1-Carbine- carbine-semi auto
M16 (dont ask why)-BR-fully auto
Colt- magnum- semi auto
effects-for most of the weapons, just to make it look like your really firing the weapon in the game, smoke grenade burst of mass smoke.
mach- new mach modeled as the hedgehog's that the soldiers can take cover for
renamed weapons- each weapon will either be renamed to something different, or be something different...
We need somebody to do sounds so feel free to ask to help us

and am i the only one not seeing the m16 here or is it just that innaccurate. but yea there's no m16 during the ww2 era. it didn't come about until vietnam.
models need uv maps but otherwise seem ok.
the M1 Carbine wasn't used on d-day the garand was, same with the thompson and springfield 1911, the m1 carbine is a paratroopers weapon, it was more lightweight than the garand and had better accuracy, not to mention, a folding stock and a reloadable clip unlike the garand where you had to reload every strip. garand holds 8 rounds carbine holds 12 box clip..
(if any of this is wrong feel free to correct)
but anyway, you'll probably want to make the kar98 or the mp44 for the germans since they both kicked ***. and for americans get the garand and thompson... maybe even through a BAR mbmb?
and also how unless u already said u cant up on top of the hill put stationed mg42's

I'm so happy I got that baby into the US with full trades and no red tip on the silencer or normal flash hider.
On topic of the mod, it really needs injected Marines who are reskinned.
