I think PyroBlizzard's pics explain in very good detail why I hate Halo 2's graphics. Bump mapping like that is disgusting. It doesn't look good at all (nothing against you, i'm against the graphics).

well...my pics were done with a ati capt card since i had a diff trainer at the time that diddent take pics with the update...but i have a diff trainer now so my pics will be much better

Even with it they always seem to smooth... Nothing in real life is that smooth. Maybe it's just the way Halo 2 uses them, but still..

I think i get what you mean like my flood warthog picture. The floods faces are smooth and the cuts and crap when they should be detailed and mutilated. Also i think this should be stickied

Taking pictures and making them into bmp then converting them to png look much better than these super compressed jpegs...You can spot it easily by comparing my first pics to drewboi's where the MC jumps on the ghost...MC is blurred to death while his edges are pixelated.

Although, uberscreencaptool does only do jpeg compression so I dont mind too much...If it did however, I wouldnt let you dishonour picture taking in halo2 like that

Also, kirk, which picture shows it as being smooth? As Im saying above it may just be the quality of the pic. I do agree with you though, that halo2 bump mapping looks ugly sometimes.

I reckon they should've relied a little less on bump maps and a little more on details on the models... but anyways, I have no major issues with Halo 2's graphics, except the lack of AA and the fact they blur on some TVs.

And is there anything we DON'T rule at, you guys?

Um how bout not ruling at halo 2! lol well im just loving taking pictures! Even thoguh the graphics arent the best im having fun!
