Preview of an animation I'm working on. Granted, this render doesn't exactly show a lot. Trust me, there's more to it.

Slap me if I'm stupid, but how can you show us a preview of an animation, in a static image? :?

Looks mighty nice though.

I think because it's one frame of the image that is supposed to showcase the animation (even though he admits that render doesn't show much)

Ok, besides the horrible lighting in this scen, I have 4 problems I need help with. The first is the rocky shaders, like cliffs and rocks. They are way metal looking. How do I setup a nateral looking shader? My next problem is the sky. Whenever I import it from a map, the UVs arent alligned and the models arnt either and Im too lazy. Like is there an option to create a simple skybox or something? My 3rd question is about the ground. As you can see in the picture, the dirt peble texture is always there. How would I get make it look like it does in game? My final question is water... I have no clue how to set it up. Thanks.

EDIT;

Image

I got the lighting a little better, along with all my problems. How is it looking so far, what do I need to do to improve it, and how can I fix the ground so the coagulation grass follows the lush detail map? Thanks.

Those are very very nice...I thought they were ingame for a second...took some careful examination, but very nice.

The 4th one's dirt and bump map seem a little...off, but other than that they are great!

Lighting seems unnatural, like parts are lit that shouldn't be.

I guess what I meant to say was "Space isnt blue"
Other than that, nice job.And I quote from Urban dictionary - Veegie -
Someone who lately escaped from a mental hospital and is on the loose, so, this could mean danger to anyone who comes across him. Physical danger or mental danger. Even sexual danger...

Yes that was funny, talking about his render i think you should invert the bumps on the left hand wall.

oh and Veegie did you make the darwin image or did you find it on the internet?
