It's not at all tinted blue. The blue you see is actually water in the grooves of the wood. Though you can't see it in some of the pictures, there is rain on this map (hence the water on the wood). It looks quite natural when you play it. You'll see what I mean when JC finishes it.

Creative idea, but water isn't blue. :)

Custom Fog Clouds

Image
(Not from the rocket launcher, I just happened to have one at the time :) And the fog was meant to come from the window, my bsp viewer was just acting up at the time and I lagged a bit, and from the lag came my stupid positioning of the fog cloud :)

Tut soon to be released for this brand new scenary (maybe tagged if I am not lazy). The fog comes with custom wind vibration so it feels like a real dust cloud! Even some delayed firing due to a few edits to make it more "blinding" and realistic :D

You're both right, which is why I didn't make the water blue. What you see in the picture is indeed the reflection of the Zanzibar sky in the water. The version I sent to JC, however, doesn't use this particular reflection map. I took this picture with this reflection map merely to show the concept, and nothing more. The final version's water reflection very much fits the map.

Coupled with JC's sweet "splashing" sound when you run across these bridges, it really looks, sounds, and feels like you're running through little puddles.

Thanks for the comments and observations though, guys :D.

Yeah, that and the bump needs to be changed on the cliffs now that they're rock. Great concept though.

Well, these are different. Not sure what I'm trying to say, but the grey makes that bump not look so great. Screw this, 5:20AM means bedtime.

I think the reason we all have to modify the ltmp so the machs don't turn green is because they need the litm chunks added to their pallet from the map the machs came from :) But then they would have to be positioned.

have any of you considered the ltmp might just be nulled until everything is place then he'll rebuild with a new ltmp since entity's bsp view doesnt work with the wrong ltmp?
