HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok i got everything set up now, and have extracted a file off the HARDDRIVE and have Opened it with HxD, and apparently im suppose to change a code here, which i can find on something called 'Armoury.map?' and then open this with Johnson or engineer. Now am i a complete noob? Or am i half way there?

Basically i got all the stuff to help with the research for the maps ok? HxD, Johnson, Xplorer360, and an XSATA....
Now i have extracted a map off my harddrive > And its at this point that i don't know how to get it into Johnson?

Do i have to edit the file in HxD first?

You aren't doing anything with a hex editor. What are you reading from that is telling you to do so? You open Johnson.exe, go to File > Open, and open the map file. However, I don't know what map you claim you got off of your hard drive, unless it was the Heroic DLC map pack, which would be in a container, which you would need to extract with wxPirs.

The majority of your maps are on your Halo 3 disc.
Have you downloaded the Heroic Map Pack from Xbox Live? (Standoff, Rat's Nest, Foundy)

i forgot about getting the maps off my HDD, i should also check this out so i can get a look into the h3 maps

thats odd for some reason i dont have that on my 360 yet some how i can still load DLC :/
