Well this is prob been suggested before but i had to be sure..I understand the problems of modding but ..[anthony]... with ur resigner and skills couldnt you with help of others make it possible to run the halo 3 BETA (or the epsilon..i know unlikely) and mod that..There would be any point cheating in that...

So if its possible make a modded Halo 3 BETA and allow it to be run by anyone and alow it to be modded...Not sure if this is possible it JUST AN ADEA. Lest not start flame wars again...

Not without unsigned code

It's a reasonable idea, but, as Anthony said, no more possible than retail modifications.

i dont think it would work even with unsigned code, i dont know about the epsilon but the beta basically ran when started from xbox live. im pretty sure if you got that far they would just ban you.

It doesn't matter.
It wouldn't be a difficult matter.

Would the beta require a different resigner then the regular game? Or would it still use basically the same? Because I mean I think that would be an awesome idea. But I'm sure it'd be some work on yall's part/ we wouldn't know what to do. It would still be fun :) My 2 cents.

The Beta's maps were less secure.

But we still can't run the beta past the Main Menu without unsigned Code.

O yea yea, I don't know what I was thinking. When Anthony said unsigned code I was thinking more along the lines of the maps needed to be signed, not the beta in general. O well, it would be a nice project when were able to run unsigned code on a retail box.

If we were able to run unsigned code we could modify the retail XeX to bypass the hashes and not allow matchmaking.

Wouldn't that be the day. I hope that will happen soon because it will stop Live modding, and promote Halo 3 modding offline.

i burned the entire halo 3 beta onto a single sided dual layer dvd+dl something like that. 12.5 GB or something. it was a while ago and i am positive i burned the entire thing on this disk

when i put it onto my xbox 360, in the main menu, it said reading, then it said play game, not multimedia dvd. which is a step in the right direction, but when i pressed play game i got a black screen and it brought me back to the main menu. any ideas on what i did wrong?

it was not 12.5 gigs >_<

And it worked because its a LIVE container its made to work like that...

and talking about the ping filters, im pretty sure they are in the 360 krnl
