Halo 3 idea.

Is it theatrically possible to edit the gamer profiles like with Halo 2 in a sort of Action Replay manor?
I believe those were the first Halo 2 mods, maybe they can be the first Halo3 ones.

It is more than theoretically possible, it is factually possible, and it's already been done.
The first Halo 3 mods were done months ago. The first being the custom screenshot, the second being the No Respawn Time gametype. (May have the order mixed up, but I think the screenshot was before NRT)

Um, is the no respawn gametype available on bungie.net thourhg fileshare? I would enjoy that, especially if it could be modified without corrupting the "modification".
Sorry if this is an obvious no, I'm not meaning to be "GIVE ME HAX" or whatever. Thanks.
(on a tangent note, is 360gamesaves.com supposed to be impossible to get into?)

Okay, so you know how we would resign with Sav3r and make those cool gametypes? I would make them and people would be stunned, but then someone who I yet to know released that Halo 2 mod where there were like 50 marines VS 100 Elites, and some how complied it into a Action Replay file.
I'm not smart enough when I browse my harddrive of 360, to know even what to look for. Is it bin files? a zipped file somewhere? Because I want to look into it.

It sounds like they just made a scenario which spawns these characters, then saved a checkpoint then used that game save to release the mod. Method works wonders for people with regular boxes and such.

Indeed. They made a mod with such characters, then got a checkpoint. They then took that checkpoint save and uploaded it, so people who download it can see what was happening when the checkpoint was gained. The same works for people piloting the Pelican and whatnot. However, that sort of thing is not practical for Halo 3 right now, at least not the way it's currently being done. In theory, someone with a dev kit could make the mod, but the people who can do that don't have the container resigner, so they wouldn't be able to publish it. As it stands right now, no such save would be created for Halo 3.

actually I was thinking about making such a save, then you could 360gamesaves.com to resign to your xbox

Does 360gamesaves.com work in the same way that the other resigning (that we can't do) works? Also, do you have to logged into the forum backbone on 360gamesaves.com to get access to the actual gamesaves? If this is the case, could I get an invite or are "regular" users not allowed?
Thanks.

No. All 360GameSaves does is resigns a profile to your profile/device ID allowing you to use it. It doesn't actually hash the rest of the file so u can make any changes.

What about people without 360gamesaves? Would there be a way to use it without 360GS?
