i havn't yet bought any of these docking stations, but now that we have new maps in halo 3, i could easily transfer these maps from my hd to my computer, then mod it with whatever i got, sign the maps, then transfer it back and play it.

it should work right? any flaws?

Please...elaborate. From the sound of it your have easily completed a task that the rest of the halo modding community (except some 4 or 5 gifted individuals) has been nearly stabbing at each other for since september. If I'm wrong please correct me, but we'd like to know how you did this ;)

I'm pretty sure that easily was related to getting the maps to his computer, which isn't that hard.

Old Maps, You dont need anything but a big dvd and a dvd player. New Maps you need XATA or the HD to USB converter. (Xbox-Scene)

KIWIDOGGIE, you just ignored the entire discussion of this thread. You can't mod, so his entire purpose is invalid.

That didnt work for me so i just went into the future a few years, downloaded a halo 3 map resigner (along with modding programs) onto my flash drive , committed many crimes  then came back.

Sorry if Im just trying to give a point, in that you can get the maps to mod, you just cant mod them and put them back...

As in, Rip with wxRipper via DVD Player.
Use Engineer or whatever tool may come out.
Have them sit on your pc.

Hey even though he isn't going to get far at all just by getting the maps onto his computer doesn't mean he cant find things out.

Stop discouraging people from trying at least man.

The topic is called Modding Halo 3 New Maps.
That is impossible at the current time.
We aren't discouraging, we're answering his question.
