no, he owns the original halo 3 dvd, so it's legal to make a backup of it.
Look at the game discs once and a while, they all say "Do not make illegal copies of this disc."

Shad0w LAG has 2 xboxs. One online, one offline modded.... Hence why he said, "Im not opening my unopened Halo 3 box(Halo 3 360)".

Also didn't Xbox make new copyright laws, and say, if you own a game, you can use it to your likings as long as you payed the money for it. I'm pretty sure they said you can do whatever you want with it.

Hence the "Do not make illegal copies of this disc ?"

Shad0w bought a Halo 3 copy... or maybe two. So whats the big deal?

Then wouldn't that mean that since he's got his halo 3 box unwrapped (his words not mine), he:
a) couldn't have burned it like he said 'coz its unwrapped (most likely poor choice of words)
b) plays online with his modded console since he only uses a backup halo 3 and not the real version...Coz well, the burned one won't work ;p

But I don't really know the full story...Needs moar explanation...However...realising this...Needs moar on topic too.

lol, i find that funny. Anyway i think a burned copy should be alloud if you arent trying to sell them, which would be pointless unless you sell to other firmwared people.

Nobody's arguing that it shouldn't be allowed. I was simply informing that, factually, it is illegal. I too think personal backups should be allowed, but I don't make the laws.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Shadow Lag-related discussion is irrelevant at this point.
