Blaster 360 modchip....

Post by NecroBreaker »

I'm really new to modding, but i need to know if the Blaster360 modchip(manufactured be Xecuter) is trustable or not, and since i'll only be modding Halo 3, 2, and 1, i need to be sure it won't screw up my games, or my xbox 360....

I only wanna mod maps with AI, like Elite vs Flood, etc

All 360 mod chips are only DVD hacks, and you can't play halo2 AI mods with only a dvd hack - it needs the yelo trainer, which can only be run on a modded xbox1 currently.

GIR, take your witch hunt elsewhere. He never showed any indication of Live modding, you pulled that assumption completely out of nowhere. Furthermore, you don't threaten people with bans. Last I checked, you couldn't issue bans, nor did you have authority to say what is bannable and what isn't.

Thread cleaned.

There's no point in chipping the drive, just flash the firmware yourself. It's easier, free, and accomplishes the same thing.

There is a point in using a chip.
There are chips that allow you to turn them off, allowing you to play on LIVE.
If you softmod, you're done with LIVE.

Yeah, you should have no problem booting retail games and going to Xbox Live with them using the latest version of iXtreme.

The blaster360 is to DVD firmware as XSATA is to HDD

It isn't really a modchip persay it just allows easy read/write of the firmware through softmoding.

So that's softmodding......well, in truth, i just REALLY need to AI edit, since i beat the game and am now bored to death, i sold my original xbox, so i can't mod Halo 1 or 2, and hold to i mod the 360, without a modchip, and i read somewhere i could put premade (downloadable) mods onto my 360 with the right app, i'm guessing that's a false statement....

Well, i'm going to be buying a 360, instead of the normal xbox, i'd like to be prepared when/if Halomods comes up with AI editing........how long does it usually take to have decent AI editing?

That's not really a question with a definite answer. It took a long time with Halo 2. And there weren't as many obstacles. But Halo 3 has many challenges.

1.) There is no real EASY way of testing mods yet.
2.) The info to actually make working mods is still withheld.

So I wouldn't bet on having anything like that for awhile.

play your games normally until you see new apps for ai editing. and i think it'll take about half a decade.

What purpose do time estimates serve? Nobody knows, guessing is just a +1 post count.
