Will this work for modding?

Post by xXxCocoFangxXx »

I have a quick question. I recently just got the transfer cable for free from Xbox. Will it work for modding?

Thanks.

were does the cable plug into in the xbox? Does it have a USB connector on the end of it? Why did xbox give you a cable?

None of that is important after this:
People have previously said that they have used it.

The real question is, if you have the cable already, why not just try it?

I connected my HD to the cable I got from xbox, like the free cable and stuff, where you have to have 2 serial numbers to get it.

If you're using a 120gb drive, which I assume you are because you have the cable, you need a fixed version of the program or something, I'm not entirely sure.

The 120GB hard drives need a special version of the software, also newer operating system have been said to have problems with the transfer cable. I think the Xport 360 software is the best, it works with any hard drive size and any cables , also labeling the titleIDs for you.

Yeah, I use Xport360 software for now, but sometimes it's really weird and doesn't transfer...

And everytime I want to use Xport360 i have to like re-install it to use it.
