Phpbb3 Forums Complaints [ERROR REPORT]

Here, I make this thread, now we can use it.

I have a well-off monitor and I can barely tell the difference between the foreground and background colours: the background really needs to be made much darker so the central content is made more prominent.
Also someone needs to go about recoding the sponsored responses because that shit is too much.

The topic icons need to be reworked, the moving gifs are annoying as hell.

You cannot delete your own posts, I think because of the automatic ads that are placed after the last post.

The index needs to be changed so it links to the last posted-in topic like the olds boards did.

I am constantly being logged out. The site is renewing my session every time I hit the main page, and it logs me out.

Disabling word censoring does nothing. Auto log-in doesn't look like it's working.

Also, I second everything Win said.

There is a horizontal space between the emblems that was not there previously and it is very annoying.

Un-used empty spaces looks Sloppy. Also I can read a book using my computer on this site even better now. This needs to be fixed. It would Help with aesthetics and flow. Also put the darned ads a the top and Keep em there.

Indeed, it looks really bad to be honest. It's way too stretched out and doesn't flow as well as the PHPBB2 theme. In my opinion, the old site felt a lot more unique and had a much more attractive look to it.

Avatars are borked.

I had a 140x80 one up, now it's my old one stretched, and I can't upload the 140 one.

Can't tell whether a board section has new posts or not. Scratch that. It looks like the outline color is black for new posts and blue for no new posts. I for one find the distinction a bit too subtle.

New posts should have a red poster icon. Could you post a screenshot of this problem?

Halomods needs a new favicon: I vote sticking with the default phpbb2 one that was used before.

Could they be more clear? The red outline vs blue outline isn't very vibrant, and hard to distinguish on with the brightness of my screen.

A slight outline isn't vibrant period.

The Image should be replaced with Image. Such a slight outline is hard to focus on.

Perhaps I will get used to it over time (just like the dark blue to light blue transition), but my eyes are not pleased by the theme. I can't really describe it because I'm not too sure whats going on with them. Turning down the brightness seems to help though.

I also agree with Tural on the outlines.

edit: Looking at it more, I can't seem to focus when I've got the brightness up. It seems other places of the site try and steal my focus from where I'm looking - making it hard to read and well.....focus :P . Does anyone else get this or understand me?

Wholeheartedly. Needs more contrast to capture and maintain focus.

Don't know if its a mod you can get for phpbb3, but I would really like to see the return of the most recent thread post in subsection. Like if say, I posted in the Rant thread, on the index of the page at the cafe, it would have a link to the rant thread (with the title actually there) with my name underneath then a linkbox to the latest post. So it shows what thread is popular and who was the last to post.

I know you kind of have it now. But it doesn't show the title of the post that was posted in. I'm taking a blind leap into any old crappy post! Not recent and active ones that I know are relative to my interests :P

Just a habit and a convenience.

edit: Sorry for so much posting (2 posts yes, but a lot of points). I am also victim of the logging out business. It seems that it only allows you to be logged in per session despite ticking the keep me logged in button. Yes, I have my cookies for Halomods.com set to allow always.

edit2:
Allow flash in sigs :) There is now an option to disable the ability to see flash ...I only say this because I can make sigs with a size of a few kilobytes rather than the larger ones. It could also have a use in the GFX section...For people like me at least. Who animate and work in flash regularly.

edit3: Suck it bitches! "Who is online" does not function at all.

More of a curiosity than a solid error...but where did the Gamertags Database go?
