Prevent User Posts

There's been a huge influx of useless posts in these sections, asking questions that are already answered or could be answered in the appropriate forum. Therefore I am asking that the mods lock, or prevent users from posting in these sections, and move Applications/Utilities and Tutorials to these sections when needed, much like how it was on the Files forums.

I think being able to reply to tutorials is a good thing as you can then see the feedback people will leave, and from this you can see if the tutorial was correct. Same apply's to the utilities section.

People could reply to Applications/Utilities threads on Files home boy...they couldn't post new topics, however...is that what you're talking about?

I think it's fine for people to reply to Utilities and Tutorials...people are going to have questions at one point or another. :P

Not after they were moved from downloads or something. Anyway, yes. If making it so you can only reply to topics moved to the sections and not post new topics, then I believe that may solve the problem.

People could always reply to topics in the Utilities board.

It's hard to take you seriously when you are making posts like that.

I would hope it would get rid of the people posting stupid question topics in those sections.

If the rules don't work, how is a separate board for Tutorial Submissions going to be any different at all? It won't. Exactly.
