Halo 3 MatchMaking Background

This happened to me today when I was at the end of a game, and the host quit. Then, we went black screen and all of the sudden I was searching for a match again, but I had this background. Has this happened to anyone else before?

It's common. I've had it happen a few times. Probably a small glitch.

Pretty old. Do you remember (or ever knew about) around december last year when someone found that you could get the forge background in colour, by starting a map with a single spawn in a death barrier? Well, around April someone noticed that you could do this with any background, because you could freeze the background so it would stay the same. You start at the main menu, click on whichever lobby the background you want frozen is in, and enter and exit it rapidly for a good 2 minutes. Usually either the main menu background will stay no matter which lobby you go in, or the background of the lobby you were entering. About 50/50 chance for either, and sometimes it takes longer or shorter to work.
And is completely pointless, but w/e.
