Recently Ive noticed some strange things among ppl on Halo 3. Such as accounts with only like 4-5 ranked games played, no experience, and no social that have 40+ as there highest rank. Ive also been noticing these same people keep joining 1v1 and purposely quiting at the start of the game 0-0. What im assuming is people have found a way to cheat the ranking system, however ive never actually heard of this. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is this indeed whats going on? People cheating the system? And boy oh boy I can't wait till AU2 goes live and all these ppl get what they deserve.

The less xp you have, the easier you go up. If you have low xp, you can rank up to like a 50 in about 20 games.

For the longest time I had a feelin a lot of these cheap BS generals and bridgiders ive been seeing where using some kinda cheap trick to level up. Thats some lame shiat. I'm gonna be laughing so hard when AU2 comes out, listenen to em all whine cause there no longer bridgiders or generals.

No, your EXP doesn't matter.

It's your Win/Loss ratio in the playlist that you're trying to level up in.

Everybody is going to keep their ranks on their service record. The playlists are just going to have some lame ranks too.

But -xp accounts de xp in lets say doubles the w/l ratio is terrible so they go up slow, but boost their partner up fast in doubles

I was a 48 in double team, won 67 matches, lost 11. Didn't move one level.
=/ The system is TOO weird.. My friend and I can play team objective, win a game, go up. Lose a game, go down 2.. TIE a game, go up, or down. (One time, we both weren't MVP, but I went up, and he went down. =/??)

EXP has not a single thing to do with your rank at all. It's your W/L record in that playlist. If you play a lot of games, but you lost the majority of those games, but then you started to win a lot in a row, its gonna take you longer to go up, but quicker to go up.

Yeah, as everyone else said, EXP is not at all tied in with TrueSkill.

Blame Microsoft, Bungie didn't make the TS system.

TS system measures your luck (say your teamates win it but you are last on the team) and your actual skill (how many games you win) that is usually and certainly why you have the "i have won 22 X 10^8 games in a row and lost 2 and didn't go up"

i still think its a messed up system, me and my buddy skatt will play and never loose, but say if we do loose one game we will de rank 2 lvls but when we win 5 in a row we only lvl 1 lvl? I think that bungie needs to go in and revamp how you level and de level.

I think that its fine, I got my 50 in like 107 wins, 26 loses

I just wish that those people who speed level would get raped to death by a raging gorilla because they usually suck ballz at Halo 3 and I end up getting stuck with some high level noobs who can't even get past a 0 KD spread. Sad.
