Is a full map editor coming, or is it just a fancy way of saying thank you? I'm hoping for an editor. :P

My Theory: PC-Based map editor which allows uploading to Bungie servers for you to download on your 360. I can only wish. Also, I just saw this on Kotaku.

Interesting. This would be a relief after the somewhat disappointment Forge turned out to be.

The AI in those maps must be some kind of hint...
Though I am also not holding my breath, this does seem like it could be some kind of advanced map editor. Though I can't see custom BSP's happening unless they give the noobs (as in noobs with no modeling knowledge) some easy to use terrain modification tools.

Also, I'd prefer an H3 custom edition (like with halo1) over any halo4.

I'm interested. I didn't give it any second thought when I first watched it. But I guess some of the words said can be taken as something... yeah

edit: A Halo multiplayer only title. Focusing even harder on community aspects with level editor and scripted events for things like theater mode.
Available for both download to hdd and retail. Available for 3500 microsoft points. Here's to me being wrong :P

Could be interesting, could be purposeful misinformation. We'll see.
If it's real, then awesome, if not, then nothing of value was really lost.

AI in MP, Dammit, Bungie loves to ruin a challenge.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scotty is right.
But I would think that you can build the map by yourself and then test the map with other people when you finish a build. When you finish the map you send it to Bungie to be certified (to keep nubs from making retarded maps) and they will allow you to download it to halo 3.
And bots would definitely be possible but probably not with a bunch of people.

Maybe this is the project bungie was going to show at E3? It must not have been ready at that time.

same here

Especially since how the content and code that shipped with Halo 3 isn't setup for placing AI in Forge. I'm going more with the idea of another Campaign (since there is support for more than one). I really don't see how you can really support the theory of this being a hint towards a new forge.

In fact, if anything, it seemed like subtle hints towards what they are doing right now. They're working on new IP thats not Halo, while MS is heading on with more Halo. Their new IP doesn't have flood, won't have the chief and cortana because they're off on their honeymoon and the SGM and Commander are both dead. Oh and the new game they have has a holo-suite, a la Star Trek. Luke was totally standing in a holodeck Arch ;p

I was thinking about something like this but I don't think we can spawn AI in our map when there assets aren't in the map its self. And I highly doubt that this will be on PC.

It'll probably be a separate game on the XBLA.
that way they can make alsorts of updates compared to a DVD version.
