Mystery map?

I just realized something VERY interesting. If you were to open the halo 3 gaming booklet on page 20. You will see a picture under "Creating or Joining a Party." But if you see the screenshot, you will see that the map icon is a very strange map that looks a lot like cold storage.

Eh, not really for me anyways. Cold Storage is more structured and that pic looks more like a snow-fortress thing. Plus, it's extremely small... making it kind of hard to make any conclusions about it.

Definitely not Cold Storage. It could be a map that wasn't put in the final.

The map looks a bit organic once you look at it. May be a covenant map.

Considering the manual is made before the game is even finished, it's 99% likely that it's just a early concept map, or it's an early version of a map. It could be any map. Narrows, for instance. There's no point in speculating because you can't verify anything, and at that stage of development, it's not even cannon.

I was thinking Narrows, or Epitaph.

Looks more similar to Epitaph than anything if you ask me. But that pictures so small and pointless well you really can't get anything out of it, so theres really no point :p

Most likely an early picture of an existing map (similar to the two Lockout pics in Halo 2) or a map that was scrapped/saved for DLC.

may be an deleted map, as Bungie stopped production for quite a few maps, which may have been put in a map pack later or so.
