The image fits the official description perfectly, with four visible walkways leading to the central structure, which has two levels. It's also purple. >_>

Decorators and detail have brought subtle differences to each of Purple Reign's symmetrical bases. One base of this open-air arena could end up getting called "Energy side" and another call-out could end up "Hunter side." Geometrically, Purple Reign is built on a bowl, with some gentle concavity on the floor space, dotted with columns for cover. Four elevated walkways converge in a small bi-level center structure that sports a cache of important items.

I'm pretty sure that's a Halo 2 campaign level, but eh.

Lies, those monitors are too new for them to have had them when Halo 2 was in development.

I don't recall any instance of a central, bi-level platform connected to four walkways, exactly as described in the PR description, in Halo 2's campaign.

It's not actually from halo 2. I guess they are just re-making that area.

Similar, but not the same. The image in the article is of a map which nearing finish. It is textured and the geometry is looking in its final stages. It is very unlikely they made such a dramatic change between the article's picture and the final product. In addition, the timing of the image and the content of it serves to show that it is very unlikely that it is Halo 2-era work.

Because they're in very similar locations, both within High Charity.

A little offtopic, but does anyone know what TV that is? I know its a Samsung but the exact model anyone?

Also, for my comment about the second picture, I am talking about the teleporter behind the beam rifle. The tower that the exit teleporter is in looks just like that as far as I can remember.

Yep. His question prompted the model number, which can then be checked for manufacturing date. By the way, it was made long after Halo 2, thus indicating it is Halo 3 work being done, as previously touched on in the thread.

After my first post I watched the video that I posted, and saw the are that they (are) re-creating that are for halo 3.

if this is purple rain, all their talk about the maps "getting polished and ready for release" is just shit... i bet they have all DLC Multiplayer maps already done. They just wanna wait until people dont like the maps anymore and want new. Good money income... give the dog the same food until he spits it out.
