Ah nice idea. Instead of linking to the article we can have a little database of weapons.
I just read that article and that thing is pimp, and sounds like it will be great in halo.

It sticks to people and when it explodes, it shoots out a cone of spikes in a given direction.

It sticks to every surface (including the plasma walls) and shoots the shrapnel at the *opposite of parralel* (I don't know what the erm is anymore) angle that it lands...
Eg, wall: || <- spiker hits wall
||-> shrapnel goes that way...

List of confirmed weapons and minor details on some:
MA5C Assault Rifle
M7 SMG
M90 Shotgun
BR55 Battle Rifle
M41 Rocket Launcher
Plasma Pistol
Plasma Rifle
Particle Beam Rifle
Carbine
Brute Shot
Brute Spike Rifle
Energy Sword
M6 Spartan Laser
3 second charge time from the trigger press to the gun firing.
Fires multiple projectiles. (5, I believe)
M6G Pistol
Similar look to the M6D from Halo: Combat Evolved.
Will be dual wield-able.
SRS99D Sniper Rifle
Scope is green (Nightvision style) on the gun, not when using the scope.
Needler
Now only single wield-able.
Supposedly more powerful to balance it out.

Has anyone heard more info on the missile pod launcher thing

. It's a sweet idea but I don't know how it will work out in gameplay. They already have the rocket launcher, the spartan laser, and now this?

The only way to balance over powered weapon is to make all weapons over powered

;);)

The Missile Pod is a big gun. Third person view, very slow movement. It locks on to vehicles, shoots projectile that are slower than a rocket. Rocket Launcher no longer locks on to vehicles. It is balanced. Don't worry yourself.
In all honesty, it's not a weapon you'll find yourself going to a whole lot.

I have found both the missile launcher and missile pod lock onto things. Anyone else?

Maybe he means the rocket launcher.

In which case, he would be factually incorrect. The rockets do not lock on or track targets.
